had a great nite out. one of the best nites in many days. went for bbq at mel's hse. as zhen quan has said, its like mel's personal hotel room. similar to some presidential suite in a 5 star hotel.
must really thank the guys for giving us a treat and py for bbqing for me. hee, to be honest her skills are not bad. haha, so people cannot judge one by her appearance. she really can barbeque food. for most of the bbq, spent time chilling around, catching up and wat else, gossiping around. haha. haven since most of the guys for a long while, so its really an opportunity to see if they are doing well.
then at nite, we sat in mel's living room and chat more. ate the leftover barbeque food with ice wine. damn nice. tasted like apple juice with the strong alcohol taste. hee, then went around snapping photos with the everyone. so at least now, i have a picture of everyone in my phone. the most horrendous thing was ky and me took zhen quan's digital camera and took snapshots of everyone plus ourselves. i bet he will faint when he see the many different shots of ka yin and me. haha =)
for the rest of the nite, swee, ivan, zhen quan and me played mahjong. ka yin spent her time watching dvd, le divorce. peggy and melvin fell asleep already. whoa, i was damn lucky. in one of the rounds, i got 6 flower tiles at one go. was damn stunned and i guess the rest were too. played till about 5 am and ordered mac, so 5 of us spent our time in mel's sis room. so nice, water bed. haha but damn cold. we were battling hunger, coldness and sleepiness. ka yin kept talking to us to prevent us frm sleeping, esp ivan. haha, coz he is in charge of sending us to the mrt.
fortunately, the mac came before we drifted to sleepyland. had breakfast in mel's balcony. the scenary is fantastic. it overlooked the ECP expressway and we could see the skyscapers of the CBD area. i also wanted a house where the view is of a glittering lights of the city area. guess i am more of a city gal afterall. and the balcony is like a damn romantic place to be. i can imagine nights of gazing at stars in a quiet, serene area. whoa!!!! oh okay, back to the breakfast, we wolfed down our food and packed up to leave.
ivan sent us to paya lebar mrt but i dropped off near chung cheng area. haha but luckily 3 seconds later, i saw melvin's car and he sent me home.
it was a great weekend as it provided me with the distraction that i needed. i think i need a lot of these nites in the near future to make me forget of all the impending unhappiness.
oh i have a good news. i might not need to move in 2 weeks as apparently those living next door are moving later. apparently, the chinese cannot move house during hungry ghost festival and there is 2 months of it this year. ironically, such a weird festival is helping us. hope this time, a house can be bought and all the uncertainity will disappear! =)
