gosh! i did it again. i slept for 14 hours in a row.
so people i am sorry if i did not reply your smses or anything. i was sleeping. i was dead beat and completely exhausted. sorry steph, i really want to have dinner with you. but my physical form is unwilling. i was so tired that i even slept in the train with my mouth open! super embarassing but it only happens when i am too tired!
okay here's an account of why i am so tired.
monday i went for work at raffles city, robinsons(do come and visit me if ya have nothing to do). i was a handbag promoter. the job was'n really that hard. it involves smiling at customers, standing around, recommending bags to customer, standing around, finding a new bag for them, standing around, stoning and once again standing around. yes, you can see, the whole job is basically about standing around. i stood for a grand total of 10 hours, without even sitting down. i guess the hardest part for me is to finding a new bag for the customer. their inventory stock is damn messy. i cannot figure out where is where. there is like no sequence. my colleagues have great memories. they just know where the stuff are.
and on tuesday, i took off and moonlight. i was a workshop facilitator at bukit batok secondary sch. it is basically to play games with them and let them leant more about themselves. pretty much feels like orientation camp to me. i had to reach the place at 7am, so i kinda had 3 hours of sleep and i was amazed that i managed to woke up at 5am. haha, my dad is funny. he saw me at 5am and asked why did i not sleep at all? it was an enlightening experience and it was real fun to work with kids. i liked my class alot. they were spontaneous, cool and co-operative. it was like can i have volunteers for this and that? and i really had people putting up their hands. one way to working with kids is to treat them as equal standing. this way, it will be easier for them to comply to your requests. oh and my partner is damn cool. like when we first met, he did not speak much to me. and when we were with the kids, he was suddenly like mr. sociable. but after some time with him, he is quite nice and a gentleman. i enjoy this whole experience and i even get money too for it.
oh and the whole workshop ended at 2 plus. with debriefs and a late lunch, i kind of reached home at 6pm. after a bath and all that, i went to sleep at 7pm. and i guess ya all know the whole story.
i think i am really quitting the handbag job at the end of this week. there will be another workshop on next mon and wed and i am really keen to join it. the pay for both jobs are the same. 6 per hour. just that the handbag job will give me a higher pay due to the fixed and long hours. 6 days per week, and min. 8 hrs per shift. the facilitator job is more ad-hoc and there are less hours. But, i really really enjoy the job and working with kids. i guess this helps with my schedule too, with organising biz com bash, helping out at convo and all that stuff. so with all these to handle, i have to give up monetary incentive.
arh, i better start preparing for work. need to be raffles city at 12.30pm.
